We got deep into video – the medium became the message.
It is 2025. In 1552 The County Fife issued the St Andrews Links Charter. This means that for 473 years there has been some sort of chatter about the Golf swing and just how to perform it better. YouTube started in 2005.
If this timeline was a 12-hour Clock Face, video of the golf swing showed up at 11:30. Up to 11:30 we had Young & Tom Morris and all those Scottish pro’s who came to North America to begin instructing golf. Then we had the Booby Jones era followed by Ben Hogan reminding us to dig it out of the dirt. Throw in a Litte Red Book by Harvey Penick and that’s the landscape heading into the world of Youtube and all video-sharing solutions.
This is huge. And mostly unfortunate.
