The Convenor Conundrum? 144 or 4

You have to make golf tournament decisions for 144 guests at a time.
It is a necessary, smart, and safe plan. That said, when you begin to manage some items for just 4 guests at a time, wider opportunities and personalized experiences present themselves.

How can you do this?

Understanding that the CLUBHOUSE and the GOLF COURSE are not exactly complimentary to each other. You are managing two spaces which are experienced quite differently by your guests.

When they are in the CLUBHOUSE - they are part of the pack of 144.

When they are on the GOLF COURSE they are part of a group of only 4.

Your tournament day will always be a handful. Period. No doubt about it. You will always need to be plugged into your superstar mode the whole day to handle every little item and all those contingencies.

Your tournament is ONE big day, at ONE big golf facility, serving ONE big purpose.

Time to adjust from thinking about just ONE big personality, to TWO.

Two different landscapes. Think CLUBHOUSE and think GOLF COURSE because these are quite different, and this difference brings a world of new options to your day.

The 1st landscape is the CLUBHOUSE and surroundings. Everything about feeding the group before & after the golf, as well as the registration process, cart staging/return area and even the parking lots and bag drop areas. This is the place for full-field activities.

This is the all-at-once stuff for everyone at the same time.

The 2nd landscape is the GOLF COURSE. You have split the full field into packs of four and sent them out on their way for their respective 5-hour journeys. Each 4-some doing its own thing unto itself.

Entirely different from the CLUBHOUSE scene.

You can approach so many things differently on the GOLF COURSE because you're freed up from that group mentality decision making that must happen in the CLUBHOUSE.

This is the very specific space where you will need our 30 years of experience. Let's widen out the overall dynamics to bring new experiences and new sponsor revenue opportunities to your tournament.

Let's begin a discussion on where you can add this additional dimension to your planning and execution. The new options for golfer enjoyment and sponsor satisfaction will enhance your efforts.
